Figure 11 (b). Design model of new encoder. The design is complete, the parts have been received, and the new mechanical assemblies are currently being fabricated. Cable from the yellow encoder box on left side will wrap around the Azimuth axis (vertical cylinder on right side), providing for the first time an absolute encoder for the VATT Azimuth axis.
