Figure 5. VATT's Precipitation Detection Radar Dish. Detects even the slightest amount of nearby precipitation, and is used to protect the telescope by warning observers of the occasional unexpected bursts of rain or snow that can suddenly appear out of a sky that only moments earlier was perfectly clear.
